The “tourteau fromagé” is a typical product of Poitou Charente, made with milk, eggs, sugar, flour, fresh cheese and butter.
The product was born in the eighteenth century by a farmer, thanks to an error in the baking process.
One of the peculiar characteristics for the success in its production process is the baking in its regulation parameters, to obtain the upper crust burnt, preserving a fragrant and tasty interior.
